History
1987 Amstar is founded to manage the U.S. real estate assets for European family office clients.
1992 Amstar acquires the second largest RTC portfolio for $100 million cash, seeding Amstar’s evergreen investment structure. RTC sales process gains national recognition.
1990's Amstar continues to recycle and grow its capital through investments primarily in office, hotel, and multifamily acquisitions and development within the primary markets throughout the U.S.
2005 Under new leadership Amstar begins to leverage its U.S. platform through strategic joint ventures with domestic institutional capital partners.
2007 At the request of one of its European clients Amstar closes its first multi-investor discretionary vehicle of $335 million to invest in real estate developments in emerging markets.
2009 Amstar takes over a separate account for one of its clients focused on Ukraine development opportunities, increasing Assets Under Management to more than $1.65 billion.
2010 Utilizing the strength of its track record and stability of its senior management team, Amstar positions itself as an Investment Adviser and expands its fundraising strategy to attract institutional clients.
