Chief Operating Officer
G. Douglas Wiley, II is Amstar's Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Wiley is responsible for overseeing the company's day-to-day activities, including its processes for acquisitions, dispositions, asset management and finance. Additionally, within specific markets he manages all aspects of Amstar’s commercial investment activities in office, industrial and retail, hospitality and multifamily investments.
Before joining Amstar in 2004, Mr. Wiley was a Principal with The Carlyle Group, in Washington, D.C., where he worked in the Transactions Group focusing on contract and joint venture negotiations, acquisition and development due diligence, financing, asset management and disposition efforts, across office, industrial, retail, hospitality, telecom and condominium product types.
Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Wiley was a Vice President with ProLogis in Denver, Colorado, where he assisted with domestic and international initiatives in Mexico and Europe, including its North American land acquisition and build-to-suit development programs and its European acquisition and disposition activities at its European headquarters in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Mr. Wiley graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin, with a B.A. in Economics.
